Born in Bath on February 17th, 1991, the young actress made her film debut with a brief appearance at the start of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, followed by a much larger role in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It seems likely Bonnie Wright, like the rest of the Harry Potter cast, will continue to act in the remaining Harry Potter films.
When asked about her character Ginny Weasley Bonnie said: "I stayed as Ginny through the whole audition", and asked if her and her character Ginny were alike, she replied: "There aren't many things alike about us, really. I've got red hair and we're the same age, but we don't have a lot of personality traits that are the same. I'm not that shy and Ginny is quite shy. And I don't love Harry!"
Bonnie Wright is 5'3" and has one sibling, a brother named Lewis. She is right handed and can play the piano and recorder. She likes to dance (ballet and modern and African dance), plays soccer (English Football) and surfs. Her favourite school subjects are Science and Art and her favourite vacation spot is Australlia, while favorite places to visit are France and Italy. Her hero is Nicole Kidman.
She recently commented on her rise to stardom, "I have had a few people recognise me in public. But I wouldn't like everybody to recognise me. I can still walk across the street and not be noticed. If I was Daniel Radcliffe I think I would find it much harder to deal with."
